Unless you're from the Northwest, I'm not sure you can comprehend our "rainy season". Let me tell you: it's long, it's dark, and it's wet. My husband, who works in restoration, has been super busy with clients lately. (You could say he's even happy with the weather forecast...) I, on the other hand, detest the rain. I spotted the above artist on Pinterest, and I have found myself revisiting her paintings throughout my dreary days. You can view her lovely work here. Enjoy!

Bedroom
How is your week going? We're hanging in there ourselves. Sometimes it feels like life is going WAY too fast. Other times, I find myself bored, complacent, and wishing for more. Right now I'm learning the art of contentment. My goal is to be present to the moment at hand, while also taking time to reflect daily on the blessings in my life. I've been rereading "The Pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer. He wrote, "Complacency is a deadly foe of all spiritual growth". Oh, the truth in that statement! I hope I can take his words to heart this week. I will be posting pictures of my room redo soon, but here is a little preview. Stay tuned for the whole reveal.

Weekend recap
This past Saturday we headed to the Portland Children's Museum. Since moving here four years ago, my kids have loved going to the museum. Despite the age gap in our girls, there seems to be enough variety for them. Our membership definitely comes in handy during the long rainy months. Next time you're in Portland I hope you have a chance to visit this magical place!
